Billing Management.....The Human Touch

Why is it that telecom bills give us fits?  Afterall, we sign our contracts, fill out the paperwork and commit to pricing and are promised that our pricing will go into effect on the next billing cycle.  Everyone wants to blame billing systems.  Although many telecom billing issues are products of poor billing formats and inadequate platforms, the biggest reason behind billing errors, is the human touch!

Contract pricing gets entered incorrectly.  The quantity of services gets missed keyed.  The discounts get left off particular services or locations.   All of these mis-ques are derived from transitioning the information from the paper contracts into the billing system.  The end result, frustration and incorrect invoices.

Why is it then that 99% of the errors are in favor of the telecom providers?  I am not sure but it sure does seem that way, doesnt it?

Find a solid partner like PivotBridge Partners to help you keep your telecom invoices clean and accurate.  Start with an overall audit of your telecom inventory and current contracts.  Get a baseline cost of what you should be paying and then evaluate options to cut costs and improve technology along the way.  Typically, you can find a company to perform these types of services on a contingency basis.
